Beaulieu is extra special at it is usually privately owned (including the river bed) It is own by Lord Montagu if Beaulieu. The river is some 12 miles (19 km) long, of which the last 4 miles (6 km) are tidal. We are going to make the best use of this tide and swim the 3.8K from Beaulieu to Bucklers Hard on a leaving tide! The finish line will be the historic Bucklers Hard. Bucklers Hard was once a significant shipbuilding centre, building many wooden sailing ships, both merchant and naval, including Nelson's Agamemnon. The event date is Saturday 12th September 2020 and the start time is 6:30am to ensure we catch the tide right and we are all out of the river before it become busy with boats ! We will coach you to the start 2.5 miles away at Beaulieu. You will enter the river and all start together. There is a lovely footpath that runs alongside the river which is great for friends and family to support you! Lovely medal for all finishers.

The New Forest Rattler is the original New Forest Sportive, in the stunning New Forest National Park. Set up in 2012 by a passionate cyclist, this family run event puts the rider in the heart of everything it does. The event evolved in 2019 when Triathlete Kelly got involved and decided it was too much of a great opportunity not to spend the weekend swimming, cycling, running and camping with friends! The Cycle gives you three options to choose, 47 miles, 82 miles or the Epic 102 miles. Each route takes in the very best of the New Forest where you will encounter the famous free roaming wildlife. Horses, donkeys, pigs, deer and cows all roam in the New Forest so don’t be surprised if there are a few donkeys chilling out in the middle of the road. The ride is fully supported with a mechanic, medics, feed stations and well sign posted. You will be rewarded at the end with a fantastic medal. The Sunday is run day! There are choices of 5k, 10K, Half marathon or full marathon. The course is a mixture of quiet country roads and off road trail. You get to run along Hampton Ridge, providing stunning views of the forest. Aid stations and fab medal for all finishers. The Swim has unfortunately been cancelled this year due to moving the date from June to October (Cheers Corona!) You can enter one event or if you are up for it enter the ride and run! Lots of options to choose making it perfect for a training weekend with mates. Under 16s get to ride free with their responsible adult and can take part with their adult in the 5K ** ** The event will be fully COVID secure and Track and Trace compliant**
